Hi all,
I and my family hope that all of you are well and are enjoying an early spring.
Here in Toronto we have had a horrible winter and signs of spring are not very evident yet.

Seder Details:
Location: The Avenue Banquets (large hall)
1600 Steeles Avenue West, Unit 38 (just west
of Dufferin on the north side of the street)
Date: Tuesday April 15th, 2014
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Adult meal – $53.00
Kids meal – $40.00 (Gefilte fish, chicken
soup and matzah balls, chicken fingers (matzah meal) and fries)
(This is the same price as the last 2 years
and includes H.S.T. of 13% and gratuities of 10%)

A son, Arthur Geoffrey, was born to Rebecca Rose Saxe (daughter of Dianne and Stewart Saxe, granddaughter of Gloria Shulman) and Allan Adams on September 22, 2013, in Boston MA


Scott Bossin (son of Kenneth Bossin) and Tiffany Ann Lough were married on June 7, 2013, in Cleveland, OH

Jennifer Ann Bossin (daughter of H. Gordon (Gordy) and Brian F. Bleuher were married on September 8, 2013, at New Canaan CT

Micah Bryan Herriot (son of Trudy Gold) and Angela Palma were married September 30, 2013, in Ottawa ON

Miriam Mervin (daughter of Ellen Mervin) and Edward Disenhouse were married on January 26, 2014, in Thornhill ON


Milton (Moishe) Goldstein (husband of Jean Goldstein) died on December 8th, 2013, in Toronto, ON

Avra Grossman (wife of Matty Grossman) died on January 13th, 2014 in Toronto ON.

These two deaths were very hard on the Toronto branch of the Bossin family. Moishe was the family patriarch and the keeper of family sources, traditions, and other family lore. Avra was a smiling face at all family gatherings. We will miss them both very much.

Awards, exhibitions, book launch

Jeffrey Gould, son of Eileen and Fred Gould, part of the Harris family of California won the Paul Harris Rotarian award in California, on February 1, 2014. The Paul Harris award is given to someone for outstanding community service. Jeff is amazing in feeding the homeless and supporting international charities.

Marni Grossman’s photos were exhibited during “The Artist Project”, February 20th-23rd, 2014, at the Better Living Center, Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto ON. To see more of her photos visit her at her new website

Bob Bossin’s book, Davy the Punk, about his father, Dave Bossin, was launched in Toronto ON on March 13th 2014. It was a very successful launch, enjoyed by all. For more information about the book and the readings/concerts Bob is going to give in various parts of Canada (maybe the States also) this spring and summer, either write Bob at or check his web site
